Erablière La Goudrelle
Popular place for Sugar Shack in the south shore 25 min drive from Montreal. Set meal during the maple season (usually end of February till beginning of May). The food is very standard as any other Sugar Shack, except this one is pretty spacious and can accommodate very large group.

Overall I would say a 4 is an appropriate rating. The food was overall average, the waitress was kind and was not cheap with portions. Soup was delicious but not enough ham (4 slices) for a table of 9. Would reccomend

My kids loved the park. Everything is close to each other so we were also able to split up a bit without worry (animals, park and tire).

I have been going to this sugar shack for over 25 years now, since I was a kid, and absolutely loved the place. We have given it 5 stars every other year. However, we were quite disappointed this year. Although prices increased, the service and quality did not match the usual standards. Instead of table service, it is now a buffet style restaurant. That in itself decreased the sugar shack experience, but it would have been ok if the quality of the food had not decreased as well. The staff no longer wear traditional clothes and have standard restaurant uniforms. I guess the most disappointing thing is the pipes all around the forest to collect sap instead of buckets. It gives it an industrial feel instead of a traditional Québécois sugar shack experience, which is frankly the whole point. It also lessens the beauty of the forest.

Haven't been to a cabane à sucre in years, so going to La Goudrelle was like coming home. This place is enormous! The dining room is very alive and the servers are clearly working very hard to handle all the customers.Anyhow, the food was very good (especially when it's drowned in maple syrup) and it's plentiful. There are three courses and special mention goes to the doughnuts which were seriously delicious.The tire was also very good.There are a few shops, but I wish they were of the walk-in variety. Browsing from a counter isn't exactly the most satisfying way to shop. I hope that one day a real stand-alone boutique could be put together.To all the staff who were clearly working extremely hard, a big thank you. I'll be back next year.

Great Cabane à sucre by Mont Saint-Gregoire serving a traditional all-you-can-eat meal. It's big and commercial, but we had a great time none the less. The food was excellent, and they serve amazing homemade doughnuts.

Pretty good experience overall, the food was very hearty and unlimited, so don’t come in with your stomach full, the food was okay, it was not Michelin star but it is very homey traditional food. The sugar taffy was good. On the other side there was a lot of kids, but a lot of activities to keep them occupied.
